Finally getting around to posting my photo that was a semi-finalist in the Head On Photo Awards, in the Landscape category. It’s called Last night of lockdown and is part of the series Together, and alone which explores the isolation of early motherhood, further exacerbated by the pandemic.
“Melbourne endured six hard lockdowns over a period of 18 months, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This photo, taken in my backyard, marks the end of the final lockdown. So much had changed. Yet there was my apple tree, blossoming once again and heralding another Spring.”
